The Tampa Bay area of Florida, a region characterized by rapid change, tourism, and simulated environments, yields a wealth of manifestations of the way in which we relate to our environment in contemporary America. These photographs investigate the results of the human relationship to the environment in the Tampa Bay area, questioning the nature and quality of this relationship and exploring the ways in which our self-made environment reflects our attitudes toward our surroundings.
